Text as an Object of Linguistic Research
Text is a quite difficult phenomenon and as any difficult phenomenon is understood differently. In some modern conceptions the notion of text is not at all clear.
Some linguists define text as a unit of a high level of the language system, considering it to be that general property, that is in the basis of separate concrete texts, i. e. «a scheme» of text construction. G. V. Kolshansky defines text as a structurally and contently organized communicative unit.
