Applied Linguistics, its types

Applied Linguistics is an interdisciplinary field that examines questions about language systems and their relationship to practical, real-world problems such as language teaching and learning, language assessment, language program evaluation, language planning and policy, and literacy. Faculty in our department is also interested in the connections between linguistics and other disciplines such as psychology and sociology. Courses in Applied Linguistics offer students the chance to learn about one of the most fascinating and discussed human characteristics: language.
