Teacher-Student Interaction

Computer-assisted language learning was a relatively specialized field in 1990s attracting attention of a small number of educators with a particular interest in computers. Nowadays, though, with the popularization of the Internet, the use of computers in language teaching has been expanding widely. Learners of foreign languages could practice the language 24 hours a day with native speakers or other learners around the world. There are some of the links which are highly recommended to take a look at and get an experience of collaborating around:

Nina, I like your article, it's really great that nowadays we have such an opportunity to communicate with native speakers 24 hours a day and practise our language skills. I hope it will involve more people who are eager to learn the language and it somehow encourages to do it.

Hello Nina,
Wow! That’s really a nice piece of information. Though I use my computer daily (and nightly :))))and have all necessary devices, I’ve never participated in on-line video conferences. But my desire is really great! So, if there’s something like that it would be a great experience for me and other students to take part in such kind of activities.
Thank you very much! I find your article very useful.

Best regards,
Anna Maranchuk.

Thank you Irene, very much for the supportive comment. I really love that your reactions to the postings are live and up to date. If you are interested in more links to materials, courses, web 2,0 tools in the Internet for educational purposes, let me know. I will share ones with you with great pleasure. Actually, I do like you all to join the online community - professionals and educators who wholeheartedly share their knowledge and ideas online. 10+ years ago I was lucky to join that community at TESL-L first and then in 2002 I joined the warm and lovely cyber family-webheads. You can explore this community at http://webheadsinaction.org/

Well, if you like to learn more write here or right at my email account nina.lyulkun@gmail.com

The best,

I am really happy to realize that you are involved into further exploring IT. I hope to visit your University soon, just the conference which is coming, and do hope to run a seminar about IT. I'd like to invite you there.
