Dima Tumachek: Innovation technologies in education

Innovation technologies in education

Distance Learning provides students an opportunity to earn college credit by participating in non-traditional, technology-based courses using delivery modes such as Online Courses (OL), Video Conferences.
Instead of attending class on-campus, Distance Learning students participate in a mandatory course-specific orientation either online or on-site. Typical "first day of class" information is provided in the orientation as well as instructor contact information and office hours. More here

Hello Nina!
Nice to see that someone has posted a comment ;)Frankly speaking I have never taken any courses on line, maybe because I have a lot of things to do in real life. But I think that online education is very important for those who are unable to attend the University or school etc. I speak about those people who are suffering from some illness.
I think it will help them very much, won't it?
But surely you can give me the link and I will gladly try it.
Truly,
Dima

I am really delighted to hear from you so shortly.
I am absolutely convinced that online education is going to be not only for disabled but for everyone who is very busy to attend classes during 4-6 or even 6 years. But this is the future.
As to present time, e-learning is essential as blended learning. It is of great help for autonomous learners who would like to improve their knowledge.
I do know how busy students are in real life. Though, they find time for relaxing, so involved ones can find time for e-learning.

Thanks you very much for the lovely discussion. I'll be glad to continue it.

Hello Dima,
I find your article rather interesting and would like to say a few words about it.
Nowadays distance learning becomes more and more popular. The reasons of this are different, but the major one is lack of money and time, I believe.
New technologies can contribute much to distance learning, especially online courses and video conferences. But, I wonder whether distance learning and traditional education can ever be at the same level? What’s your idea, Dima?
